Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Loupy ("we") identifies objects in photos you take. This policy explains what we process and why.
What we collect
- Photos you scan. Sent over an encrypted connection to our servers, stored so your history works, and sent to OpenAI to generate the identification. OpenAI does not use API data to train models.
- Questions you ask about a scan, and the answers, stored with that scan.
- An anonymous account ID created on first launch. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Usage analytics (e.g. screens viewed, scans started) via Firebase Analytics and our own servers, without photos or message content.
- Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed by RevenueCat; we never see your payment details.
How we use it
To provide identifications, chat answers and your history; to enforce free-tier limits; to keep the service secure (Firebase App Check verifies requests come from the genuine app); and to improve the product.
Retention and deletion
You can delete any scan from History, or delete all your data in Settings → Delete my data. This removes your photos, scans, messages and account record from our servers.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors listed above (Cloudflare for hosting, OpenAI for AI processing, Google Firebase, RevenueCat). We do not sell personal data.
Children
Loupy is not directed at children under 13.
